“I’m thankful and blessed to come to work every day,” says Coach Parker, who started playing basketball at just 6 years old in Vidalia, Georgia. Now in his 10th year at Buford High and second as the boys basketball coach, Coach Parker is passionate about helping his team reach their full potential.
“Buford is special. There are people that want to see us succeed and are invested with their support. People travel far just to see us play. We have a responsibility to make them proud.”
Buford’s varsity games are held at the arena—what Coach Parker calls “the best venue in high school sports.” Whether you’re a basketball fanatic or looking for a family-friendly experience, there’s something for everyone. And at the heart of it all are the dedicated players, eager to perform for their supporters.
