Local churches are invited to compete in the Church Chili Challenge during Taste of Buford.

This fun community event gives churches the opportunity to:

  • Raise awareness about their church
  • Connect with local families
  • Support outreach and missions
  • Compete for community bragging rights

Prize funds are intended to support church outreach, missions, benevolence, youth programs, or charitable efforts.

How The Challenge Works

  • Each church may enter up to two chili recipes
  • Each recipe is made, brought and served by church members during the Taste of Buford event attendees
  • Chili must be served in sample sizes of 2 ounces or less
  • Every chili taste requires two official Taste of Buford tickets
  • Each ticket collected counts as a vote toward your final total

Each participating church is provided one table. You are responsible for all additional setup items, displays, serving materials, and equipment.

Crock pots are permitted. Any other heating or food warming equipment must be approved in advance by event organizers.

Yes. All materials and conduct must be family-friendly. Balloons, political messaging, and unapproved signage or decorations are not permitted.

Participating churches handle safe food handling, setup, serving, and cleanup of their assigned area.

Chili must be served in sample sizes of 2 ounces or less.

Yes. Photos and videos taken at the event may be used for promotional purposes.
