The Lady Wolves found the confines of the Buford City Arena to their likings as they posted a route in their 1st round state playoff game. The Lady Wolves got an impressive 66-21 win over the Lady Wildcats of Wheeler high school.
The Lady Wolves fast paced offense and their relentless defense forced the Lady Wildcats into many turnovers and the Lady Wolves sprinted down the court in transition for easy scores.
When the dust cleared, the Lady Wolves found themselves 1-0 in the most important part of the season, the state playoffs.
Ava Grace Watson lead the scoring column with 26 points followed by Alyssa Green contributing 14 to the cause. This was Alyssa’s best outing of the year as she also contributed many rebounds to go along with her points. Lydia Ledford also netted 13 points in the game.
The Lady Wolves will face the Lady Bulldogs of North Gwinnett in the 2nd round of action this Friday night at the Buford Arena.
Tip off time will be 6:00 pm.
